This time last year..

I was having a tidy out of my computer drive, deleting old files, creating new folders and generally having a "spring" clean (in Autumn!) when I stumbled across photos I have forgotten I had taken, yet to be scrapbooked, and happy memories came flooding back.  I set aside a number of these photos to scrapbook at my next crop. I also came across my Gromit treasure hunt photos that I had started to scrapbook but which probably need a minibook as I have so many!

I then found this layout created this time last year for the ATDML design team gallery. Having also had a bit of a tidy up in my craft room I discovered hidden treasures I had totally forgotten I had purchased along with lots of left overs from these papers. The new Teresa Collins collections this year do match quite nicely as well with similar colour tones so I may find myself creating a layout or three with more Gromit photos! And I need to have these all sorted before the Shaun sheep treasure hunt in 2015 as I am sure to have a tonne more photos from those adventures too!

So how about you readers sharing your "this time last year" layouts? I'd love to see them!

September Virtual Crop - Class 3 with Jane Hewitt

Jane's lovely class is up next, a fun little mini book in gorgeous colours. Don't forget if you didn't get your hands on a kit you can always recreate with products in your own stash. (I totally want to make one of these!)

Join us again at 4pm for the last class of today which will be layouts with Mel.

September Virtual Crop Class 2 with Karen Moss

Well it's time for Class 2.  If you managed to snap up a kit you will know that we are using Marian Smith's Motley range for the two layouts I have designed.

The first is very girly -

and the second is a boy page -

If you are playing along without a kit you will need papers that you can cut into rectangles to layer behind your photos and a floral paper for the first layout and I used some 'newsprint' type paper for my banner on the second layout.

Hope you have fun and the instructions are HERE and you can share your projects HERE.

Next up is Jane's amazing project.

September Virtual Crop - Class 1

Welcome to your first class on our debut virtual crop day.

If you managed to grab yourself a kit, lucky you!, Delicious Teresa Collins papers to play with (and plenty of them!) but worry not if you didn't. Hopefully you can still play along with your own stash and use the layouts like a sketch. I have created two layouts, a card and small home decor item using tags from the kit but you could also use this to add to a third page with another sheet of cardstock and the remaining papers.

The instructions can be downloaded here for the projects I created.

Please share what you make inspired by this class (you don't need to have bought the kit to join in) in our virtual crop gallery on Facebook which can be found here. Simply click on the link and then add photos. Any problems let one of the team know and we will be sure to help.

See you back here again at 12:00 for your next class with Karen.

September Virtual Crop Challenge

On this day (September 20th) in 1946 the first Cannes Film Festival was held having been delayed for a number of years due to World War II.

Our challenge for you today is to create a layout with inspiration drawn from a film. This could be the use of a film title, pictures from a visit to a film studios (Disney/Harry Potter etc), use of camera/film strips whatever.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with!
Share your images in our Virtual Crop gallery HERE.

Virtual Crop Class 3- Photo requirements

Apologies for the delay in my blog post - I had no internet connection yesterday when I should have uploaded.
With my Fancy Pants kit I made a mini book. As with many of my projects there are no photo 'requirements' as such because all of your photos could be added afterwards.
Here's a sneak peek...
The finished book has space for between 6 and 8 photos of varying sizes and lots of journaling spaces.

You'll need black paint and glossy accents, black ink for edging, a good hole punch such as a cropodile and either flower punches or dies (or both)...plus all the usual basic tools and adhesives.

Saturday is my school 'Open Day' but as soon as I've finished I'll be back to answer any questions you have about the class.

Happy scrapping!

Virtual Crop Class 4 - Photo Requirements

Jill here with just a quick post to let you know the photo requirements for Mel's class. She has Ofsted for the next couple of days so won't be around much. There are two layouts and each has one 6 x 4 portrait photo. Sneak peek on Thursday evening :)

Virtual Crop Class 2 - Photo Requirements

Hi Ladies - Karen here.  The photo requirement for my class is easy peasy lemon squeezy!  The class is for two separate layouts - one feminine and the other masculine and each requires one 4 x 6 portrait photo.

A little taster of the girly page.

and one of the boy page.

Unfortunately, I am invigilating 11+ exams until after 2pm but will hurry back in case there are any queries.

Virtual crop Class 1 photo requirements

Hello lovely crafty ones!
Just a quick blog post with photo requirements and a sneak peak for Saturdays virtual crop class 1 with yours truly.

With the kit I created two layouts, a tag decor item and a card.
Layout 1 uses just one 4" x 6" portrait photo
Layout 2 uses a pair of 4" x 6" portrait photos (but you can use three and have less journaling)
The tag decor item has room for several small photos. I used 4 tags and have four small 1.5" x 2.5" portrait photos on mine in black and white.
The card obviously has no photos

Look forward to seeing you all back here at the weekend. Sadly I won't be around when my class goes live as I'm taking part in a 5k pretty muddy race for life! I'll be sure to log on as soon as I'm back and showered off though!!  See you then!

Virtual Crop Day 20th September - Timetable

Not long now til our first Virtual Crop day following our successful cybercrop weekend in the summer.

The timetable for the day will run as follows:

8am        - Challenge
10am      - Class 1 with Ann Freeman
12 Noon - Class 2 with Karen Moss
2pm        - Class 3 with Jane Hewitt
4pm        - Class 4 with Mel Hand

The timetable reflects when the classes will be available to download from the website and there will be a blog post for each at that time containing the class image and link to the instructions. If anyone has any queries please ask and one of us will be around to assist.

If you didn't manage to pick up one of the kits for a class do not worry and you will be able to make a dent in your own supplies and adapt the classes accordingly once you see them! Just treat the layouts like a sketch and be inspired to create your own version.

See you back here next weekend :)
